Job Title: Buyer – Indirect Supply Chain – Submarines
Working Pattern: Full-time

As a Buyer in our Indirect Supply Chain team within the Submarines business, you\’ll play a pivotal role in sourcing the essential services, tools, and technologies that power every corner of our operations. From facilities and professional services to IT and corporate functions, your work ensures operational continuity, cost efficiency, and long-term supplier value. This role sits within our Submarines business, which provides nuclear propulsion solutions that power the Royal Navy’s submarines. You’ll be joining a team that plays a critical role in protecting national security and maintaining the UK’s continuous at-sea deterrent.

What You Will Be Doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies aligned to business needs.
  • Lead or support negotiations, contract renewals and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, systems, and documentation standards.

  • Ideally hold a degree or have relevant industry experience (MCIPS desirable).

Security Clearance

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
