As a Test Systems Architect, you'll play a critical role in executing our V&V IT Strategy, developing and implementing systems solutions that enhance testing capabilities across our Defence business. You will work across the full systems lifecycle from requirements capture through to deployment and maintenance, collaborating with Test Execution, Test Facility and Equipment Engineers to deliver innovative solutions. This role offers excellent exposure to diverse technologies, systems engineering methodologies, and the opportunity to drive real change through digital transformation initiatives.

What you will be doing: With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Define and deliver IT & OT systems architecture for Rolls-Royce test facilities, working with the Measurement & Test Organisation and Group IT to support next-generation Civil and Defence gas turbine engines.
- Design and implement both the short- and long-term strategic solutions for managing and maintaining the systems and software used in Rolls-Royce test facilities.
- Work closely with our key suppliers to ensure that the IT & OT systems installed and used on our test facilities are fit for purpose and align with RR Group IT policies.
- Ensure Rolls-Royce test networks are resilient to cyber security risks and adhere to the latest national and international standards.
- Interface with Rolls-Royce group IT to ensure alignment on policies and toolsets where possible.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Be eligible for SC clearance (UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national).
- Demonstrate strong systems engineering thinking with the ability to assess risks and develop effective solutions.
- Have an understanding of security principles and their application in IT systems architecture.
- Have experience of a test-facility type environment integrating software with physical systems.
- Be familiar with Network Communication methods, UDP and TCP/IP and other network protocols.
- Show problem-solving capabilities with experience in troubleshooting technical systems issues.
