Provide technical leadership, direction, guidance and services with regard to planning, scheduling and associated PM digital tools across the RR Group.

What you will be doing:

  • Being an authority in relation to planning, scheduling and maintaining that status by continuing professional development and networking with like professionals across Rolls-Royce plc, within wider industry and within professional bodies.
  • Represent Rolls-Royce on behalf of the specialism within wider industry and professional bodies.
  • Escalate the capabilities, competencies and training gaps needed by the wider project management community to support the specialist skill.
  • Lead development of the specialism area with regards to processes, tools and training
  • Proactive improvement of supporting processes and performance in their area of specialism in line with company management processes. Able to coach and develop others where appropriate in the specialist discipline or provide expert guidance and authoritative leadership to small teams, developing specialists in this field.
  • May have leadership responsibilities, including the planning and prioritisation of their work.
  • Promotion of the general culture and professionalism of project management specialism throughout the Business

Position qualifications:

  • Is recognised as an expert in the field of planning and scheduling
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Specialist functional/technical experience eg. planning, earned value management, scheduling, risk management - using appropriate tools/systems.
  • Able to communicate and articulate specialism in an easy and understandable manner.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business, an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MOD and Government body approved cases, a dual national.

Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.

The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
