We have an exciting opportunity to support the Naval Programme as a Programme Lead within the Defence sector. The MT30 is a market-leading Naval gas turbine which is trusted to deliver power to some of the world’s leading Naval fleets. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to progress their Project Management career. In this role you will be part of a unique, autonomous, and strongly customer-focussed team with responsibility for managing Naval programmes throughout all stages of the project life cycle.
What you will be doing:
- Act as a prime interface for customers from the point of quotation to contract close-out.
- Own the creation, commitment, communication, and daily management of an integrated programme plan that delivers to contracted customer requirements.
- Work with engineering, supporting functions and the wider programme team to prioritise, resource, and govern packages of work in support of Original Equipment programme delivery.
- Own and manage programme risk, finances, and scheduling.
- Review programme progress against committed plans, identify where corrective action is required and drive resolution including effective escalation.
- Deliver new work proposal submissions, integrating with purchasing, commercial and other supporting functions as required.
Position qualifications:
- Experience of managing projects with multiple key stakeholders and customers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good practical, demonstrated, understanding of PM tools & approaches.
Preferred requirements:
- APM or Prince2 qualification (already obtained, working towards, or willing to work towards).
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools, risk management tools, Business Map, P6/Microsoft Project and SAP.
