We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our GCAP IT team. GCAP (the Global Combat Air Programme) is a trilateral initiative launched in 2022 by the governments and industries of Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom. The programme will deliver an innovative stealth fighter, ready to face the threats of the future. It will provide decisive capability for its partner nations in Europe and the Indo‑Pacific, and contribute to wider global security.
As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with the programme to understand key business requirements and translate them into a comprehensive understanding of problems and how we can translate those into IT solutions for implementation.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the business analysis activities across all GCAP IT initiatives including stakeholder management, requirements gathering, business process analysis and project definition.
- Take a holistic approach to gathering requirements to common business problems within GCAP, such as cross-partner secure communication, collaboration, information exchange, secure access, application requirements, data requirements etc.
- Influence and collaborate on business analysis activities with external partners on GCAP.
- Support compliance activities through GCAP governance boards and provide input to Defence IT/Central IT governance to ensure that capabilities delivered to Defence meet all applicable regulations.
- Create project documentation, including requirements summaries, as-is/to-be analyses, process mapping, data flows and stakeholder maps.
Who we’re looking for:
- Have demonstrable knowledge of IT delivery in Defence or high compliance industries.
- Have demonstrable IT and business analyst knowledge, demonstrable through a TOGAF, or similar, qualification, or relevant experience.
- Be able to demonstrate a broad range of business analysis skills, such as requirements gathering and engineering, user story development, personas, business process modelling and workshop facilitation.
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with senior business stakeholders and bring technical concepts and roadmaps to life, and be able to form effective business relationships quickly at all levels of the organisation.
