What you will be doing: This four-year apprenticeship offers broad business development across our Civil or Defence business giving hands-on responsibility from day one. You will work on real projects ranging from building business cases, shaping commercial proposals, analysing markets to supporting regional strategy. You will gain experience in procurement by contributing to purchasing decisions, cost-saving initiatives and future buying strategies whilst also collaborating with global cross-functional teams on fleet planning, financial modelling, digital capability development and end-to-end engine lifecycle management. Across all of this, you will gain a detailed insight into how a large, complex company makes a profit and works with its customers, suppliers and partners. You will also study for a BA (Hons) in Business Management with a local university to enable you to make a meaningful early impact and build a deep understanding of how the global aerospace business operates.
Who we are looking for: Five GCSEs at a minimum of grade 4/C which must include Maths and English Language. 96 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either: 3 A-Levels to include as a minimum, an A-level in a numerical or business-related subject at grade C or A single Level 3 BTEC in a business-related discipline. If you have equivalent qualifications, contact us. Every bit as important as your academic achievements, however, are the personal qualities you bring to the role. We are looking for fast learners who are motivated to develop a career in project management. Beyond that, you will have great communication and team working skills as well as leadership potential. Attention to detail and organisational skills are also important. Our behaviours drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. We will expect that of you, too.
