Job Description Job Title: Building Information Modelling (BIM) Lead Working Pattern: Full Time, Hybrid Working location: Raynesway, Derby An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Information Modelling (BIM) Lead to join the Rolls-Royce Submarines Infrastructure business in Derby. This role is vital in driving our digital transformation agenda and ensuring BIM standards are effectively implemented across all construction projects. This role sits within the Rolls-Royce Submarines Infrastructure business unit, specifically the Building Information Modelling Team, who are accountable for implementing the BIM Process across the Raynesway estate in line with BS EN ISO 19650 Standards and the UK BIM Framework. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you will be doing With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to: Act as the client-side intermediary between designers, supply chain partners and architects on BIM projects. Lead a team of BIM Coordinators and ensure adherence to information exchange processes. Own and manage our cloud-based Common Data Environment (CDE) and Asset Information Model (AIM). Develop, manage andmaintain BIM protocols, Execution Plans and project-specific documentation. To be successful in this role you will need to: Demonstrate substantial knowledge of the UK BIM Framework and BS EN ISO 19650 standards. Have experience in data delivery for assets using COBie and in setting up CDEs and workflows. Be competent in platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Recap, Solibri and Glider BIM. Show awareness of digital asset data, including 4D–6D modelling and wider digital construction technologies. Ideally have experience working on nuclear construction projects and/or obtaining ISO 19650 accreditation. We are an equal opportunities employer.
