What you will be doing: Key Accountabilities will include:
- To be the senior interface for the Australian In-Service aspects of Phase 1 (Astute) & Phase 3 (SSNA) within the business (both internally & externally).
- To work collaboratively and inclusively both internally (e.g. with the in-service DBU) and externally with trilateral governments, Navy Command and industry partners.
- To lead the development and execution of a roadmap for the RR capabilities (people, product, tools, infra / facilities) required for the in-service AUKUS objectives in Australia across Pillar 1.
- To identify and develop suitable strategies and interventions to meet the business and Australian demand.
- To work beyond your role scope where required to develop breadth and given the dynamic nature of the role.
- Provide Engineering and Technical leadership and support to the Australian Capability team.
- Support the definition and deployment of the business strategy for Australia.
- In partnership with Programme and Project Management, develop and communicate the plan for delivering to our customers on time.
- Ensuring compliance with the Rolls-Royce Management System requirements throughout the life cycle of the contract by implementing effective Risk Management and Project Gated Review Processes for relevant deliverables or packages of work.
- Protect our people by applying HS&E policy including being committed to continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, and retain appropriate SQEP resources and deploy them effectively to support the customer.

- Relevant Degree level qualification or appropriate equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience within several of: Nuclear Reactor Plant Operations and in-service experience.
- Experience of working with Navy Command and Submariners.
- Delivery of complex programmes or projects.
- Demonstrated sound engineering judgement and knowledge of the business, customers and programmes.
- Understanding of in-service platform operations, capabilities in support of operational platforms.
- Understanding of Availability Centre (RRADARS/Data Centre/MROD, maintenance planning) and the capabilities IMRS Develop and Delivery.
- Proven customer facing experience including working on projects with a range of internal and external stakeholders, especially academia or industrial technology centres.
- Excellent communications, negotiation, and diplomacy skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation and externally.
- Experience of working and leading within a multi-disciplined team or indirect (matrix) team.
- Analytical skills to independently understand complex and competing requirements and govern those projects.
