Senior Logistics Operations Manager – Control TowerLocation: Derby, Manchester or Warrington (Flexible / Hybrid)Salary: £71,000 – £88,750 + 17% bonus + £5,000 allowanceOur mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. Rolls-Royce SMR provides a British solution to a global energy challenge, leading the way in Small Modular Reactor technology and shaping the UK’s premier green export opportunity.Our Operations & Supply Chain function is critical to enabling delivery across our programme, with logistics providing the backbone for safe, efficient and reliable material movement across multiple geographies. A key part of this is the development of a centralised Control Tower capability, providing real-time visibility, governance and performance management across our global logistics network.In this context, we’re looking for a Senior Logistics Operations Manager – Control Tower to lead the development and operation of our global control tower. You’ll work closely with Programme, Construction, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to ensure full visibility, proactive risk management and alignment with delivery schedules.Reporting into the Head of Logistics Operations, you’ll play a key role in establishing the control tower as the single source of truth for logistics data, driving performance, improving resilience and enabling data-led decision-making across the organisation.We’ll need you to:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the global logistics control towerEnsure real-time visibility of shipments, inventory and transport performance across all modes and locationsAct as the primary escalation point for logistics disruptions, delays and service failuresCoordinate cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and maintain delivery schedulesDefine and monitor logistics KPIs, delivering performance reporting, dashboards and insightsLead incident and exception management, implementing contingency plans to mitigate riskDrive process standardisation, continuous improvement and innovation across logistics operationsSupport digital transformation, including control tower systems, automation and data analyticsEnsure data integrity, system governance and consistent use of logistics platformsYou’ll bring:Proven experience in logistics operations, control tower environments or supply chain visibility platformsStrong understanding of end-to-end logistics operations across multiple geographiesExperience managing logistics performance through KPIs, reporting and analyticsStrong problem-solving capability with experience managing operational risk and disruptionExperience working with 3PL/4PL partners and logistics networksStrong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teamsCommercial awareness with understanding of logistics cost and performance driversExperience in complex, regulated or safety-critical industries such as energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or aerospaceLocation & Ways of WorkingThis role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington offices, with hybrid working and regular engagement with stakeholders and suppliers.What’s In It for You?You’ll also receive:Bonus: Up to 17% (performance related)Personal Benefits Allowance: £5,000Pension: 12% employer / 6% employeeHolidays: 28 days + public holidays (option to buy/sell up to 4 days)Private Medical Insurance: BUPALife Assurance: 6× pensionable payHome Office Support: £250 one-off payment for new startersPay Range:£71,000.00£93,187.50Why Join Us?You’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness, and innovation.
