Overview

Role: Manager Support and Outage block Layout and Installations.

Locations: Derby, Warrington or Manchester, with hybrid working options available.

Salary: £57,600 - £75,600 DOE.

The role is suited to a degree-qualified mechanical engineer (or equivalent) with experience who will support the design and delivery of the Rolls-Royce SMR Reactor Island Layout. The Reactor Island Integration Team is accountable for designing the physical layout of RR SMR Reactor Island and ensuring the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installation is integrated with the modular build philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the Interspace mechanical layout design, leading a team of Layout and Installation/Assembly Engineers.
  • Lead recruitment to build/maintain their team.
  • Manage resource within their team to drive delivery and best utilise individual’s strengths.
  • Lead, support and develop individuals within their team – support personal development plans and identification of suitable training.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to their team on both technical and governance related matters.
  • Define the delivery strategy for the Interspace, based on inputs from key stakeholders: Civils, Architecture, E3S, Human Factors, Systems, Components, CAD, Operations, Build Certainty, Supply Chain and others.
  • Integrate and own the plan for the Interspace to ensure delivery to cost, quality and schedule.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary - £57,600 - £75,600 DOE
  • Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
