At Rolls‑Royce SMR, our mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. We are developing a British solution to a global energy challenge, leading the way in Small Modular Reactor technology and creating one of the UK’s most exciting green export opportunities. As we scale towards deployment, our Operations and Supply Chain capability is critical to ensuring safe, predictable and cost-effective delivery. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping how our global logistics capability is designed, digitised and delivered.

The role involves reporting to the Head of Logistics Planning and is responsible for leading the definition, development and delivery of Supply Chain Execution capabilities across the programme. You’ll operate as the subject matter expert for logistics execution—ensuring systems, data flows and processes are fully defined to support end-to-end planning, scheduling and physical movement of materials across multiple global sites. You will lead a team of circa 15, manage budgets of ~£100m, and play a central role in integrating logistics across manufacturing, construction and engineering to enable successful powerplant delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the capture and definition of Supply Chain Execution system requirements and aligning them to digital delivery solutions
  • Ensuring all end-to-end logistics processes are mapped, integrated and optimised across the programme
  • Driving logistics planning inputs including cost estimates, schedules, risk profiles and freight strategies for customer programmes
  • Acting as a key interface with customers, supporting current and future delivery programmes with logistics expertise
  • Establishing governance and reporting for cost, schedule and performance (including integration into programme controls such as P6)
  • Designing and enabling control tower capability through robust, real-time data flows across suppliers and logistics partners
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and international trade regulations
  • Building, leading and developing a high-performing logistics team
  • Collaborating with SMEs and external partners (including 3PL/4PL providers) to ensure seamless execution
  • Driving continuous improvement and future-proofing logistics solutions beyond current industry standards

What You’ll Bring:

  • Significant experience in logistics and supply chain management within complex, large-scale programmes
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain Execution systems and how digital solutions enable end-to-end optimisation
  • Experience delivering logistics strategies across manufacturing, infrastructure or major project environments
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to operate across customer, technical and commercial interfaces
  • Experience with planning and control frameworks (e.g. S&OE)
  • Strong programme governance, reporting and risk management capability
  • Ability to define and implement integrated supply chain processes, including collaboration with logistics partners (3PL/4PL)
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) with a commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience in infrastructure, construction, manufacturing or regulated industries (nuclear desirable)
