The Team brings together the functional and architectural design of the entire RR SMR power station. Using systems engineering, requirements flowdown and optioneering, we ensure that high‑level plant requirements are translated into a coherent, compliant and fully integrated product at the heart of the engineering programme.

Summary: We are recruiting Senior Power Station Integration Engineers to lead the delivery of plant‑level design and integration. Working across multi‑disciplined engineering teams, you’ll use systems engineering methods to ensure that high‑level technical, safety and performance requirements are met. This role offers broad scope, technical leadership and system‑wide impact within a first‑of‑a‑kind programme.

Key Deliverables:

  • Lead the product‑level design of the power station, ensuring business, safety and customer requirements are met.
  • Manage key performance attributes such as net power output, availability and cost.
  • Conduct requirements elicitation, decomposition and functional architecture using MBSE.
  • Lead integration across multi‑discipline teams and drive optioneering to select compliant design solutions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in product or system‑level design and integration across multiple disciplines.
  • A strong grounding in Systems Engineering methods including requirements elicitation and derivation.
  • Experience with Capella or other MBSE/requirements tools is desirable.
  • Engineering background in nuclear, power generation or another regulated sector.
  • Proven ability to lead technical delivery within multi‑disciplined teams.

Location: We offer hybrid working but expect weekly attendance at one of our offices in Manchester, Warrington or Derby.

What’s in it for me?

You’ll receive a salary of £48,000–£63,000 DOE, plus a 12.5% bonus, £2,200 benefits allowance, 12% employer pension, 28 days’ holiday (+BH), BUPA medical cover, life assurance and flexible benefits.
