Job Overview: Document Controller role within Rolls‑Royce SMR technology, responsible for safety and regulatory compliance in the nuclear industry.

Why this role matters: Reporting to the Quality Assurance Programme Manager and collaborating with current document controllers, you will maintain documentation and lifetime quality records, support strategy and development of internal and external documentation, and aid deployment of teams.

What you'll do:

  • Implement and maintain the documentation management system both internally and externally.
  • Develop and deploy a lifetime quality records strategy.
  • Establish robust documentation control measures for reliability and accessibility.
  • Ensure adherence to documentation management processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on system registers.
  • Report documentation status.
  • Identify and implement documentation system improvements.

Experience you will need:

  • Established documentation, procedure or process management systems.
  • Experience in internal and external documentation control.
  • Administration of a document management system.
  • Demonstrated adherence to documentation policies and procedures.
  • Conducting comprehensive quality checks on documents per defined protocols.
  • Document creation and review with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaboration with the Life‑Time Quality Records team.

Training and Qualification Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook) and web‑based applications.
  • Knowledge of document control systems.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Salary of £30,000 – £39,400.
  • Performance‑related bonus up to 7%.
  • Benefits allowance of £2,200 for bespoke provisioning.
  • Pension: 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • 28 days holiday plus public holidays; option to buy or sell up to 4 days.
  • Private Medical Insurance – BUPA single cover.
