As the Containment System Manager you will be accountable to the Senior Manager of Containment to develop and manage the integrated functional design of the containment system. The containment system is a complex system with many functional and physical interfaces, combining elements of civil engineering, structural engineering, component engineering and mechanical engineering. The system is crucial to plant safety as the primary physical barrier preventing radiological release to the environment. Designing this system using the systems engineering approach is crucial to deliver the correct requirements to the components of the system and to ensure a consistent “Golden Thread” back through the component requirements and system level requirements to demonstrate the critical functions can be met.

Successful candidates will have a strong background in systems engineering and systems thinking with knowledge of design for both conventional and nuclear safety.
