We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE.

Role Purpose

As a Capability Engineer - Digital Capability, you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of engineering processes and systems. This is a new role that will initially require emphasis towards stakeholder engagement while transitioning towards more technical development once value cases are well understood and digital foundations are established. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps, define strategic priorities, and implement scalable digital solutions. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills underpinned by good technical knowledge within the digital domain and a pro-active, driven mindset to help us shape the businesses digital future.

    • Provide guidance on data modelling and database design.
    • Understand relationships between data.
  • Digital Enablement and Use Case Support
    • Collaborate with digital and data teams to support advanced use cases.
    • Ensure data structures support analytics, metrics, and AI applications.
    • Own and maintain high-level engineering metrics.
    • Drive initiatives to improve data quality, discoverability, and accessibility.
    • Experience with Python and Power Platform required.
    • Experience with SQL, HTML or CSS desirable.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with engineering teams to understand needs and priorities.
    • Support cross-functional improvement initiatives within scope of teams work.
    • Promote adoption of the Integrated Management System and enterprise model.

Salary and Benefits

  • Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
