## Senior Project Manager Consent Licensing and PermittingApplylocations: Derby, UK: Manchester, UK: Warrington, UKtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: July 5, 2026 (10 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR101707# **Senior Project Manager – Consents, Licensing & Permits (CL&P)****Location:** UK (hybrid – Derby, Manchester or Warrington) with regular travel to the Czech Republic## ## **About the role**We are seeking a **Senior Project Manager – Consents, Licensing & Permits** to play a critical role in delivering a first-of-a-kind Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme in Europe.We need you to **lead the development and delivery of the regulatory, licensing and permitting strategy**, working across UK and European frameworks to establish a robust, scalable approach for a new nuclear programme.This is a **high-impact, strategic position**, sitting at the heart of early works and pre-construction phases, where you will shape governance, influence senior stakeholders, and define best practice in a highly regulated environment.## ## **What we need you to do**We need you to:* Lead the **planning consent and nuclear licensing workstream** across early works and pre-construction phases* Develop and manage **licensing documentation** to meet EU and Czech regulatory requirements* Act as a **key interface with regulators, clients and shareholders**, supporting compliance activities* Translate complex technical outputs into **regulatory-ready submissions** with Safety & Regulatory Affairs teams* Establish and embed **programme governance, reporting and milestone tracking*** Navigate both **UK and EU regulatory frameworks** including EIA, DCO and permitting processes* Support **commercial and contractual alignment**, ensuring risks and deliverables are understood* Provide **thought leadership**, influencing stakeholders and shaping consent strategy in a first-of-a-kind programme## ## **What we’re looking for**We are looking for someone who can bring:* Significant experience in **senior project or programme leadership roles** within nuclear or highly regulated infrastructure* Strong knowledge of **nuclear licensing, permitting and consenting processes*** Experience working directly with **regulatory bodies**, ideally within European frameworks* Proven ability to lead across **complex, multi-year and multi-national programmes*** A strategic mindset with the ability to operate at **senior stakeholder level*** Experience within **early-stage nuclear, SMR or large-scale infrastructure programmes**## ## **Qualifications**We welcome applicants with:* A **degree or equivalent experience** in an engineering or scientific discipline* Project Management qualifications (or a willingness to work towards them – we will support this)## ## **Working with us**We need you to be comfortable working in a **hybrid environment**, collaborating across UK offices and travelling regularly to the Czech Republic to support programme delivery.You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking team where **innovation, governance and delivery excellence** are key.## ## **Why join us**This is a unique opportunity to:* Shape a **first-of-a-kind SMR project in Europe*** Influence **regulatory frameworks and governance models from the ground up*** Work at the forefront of **clean energy and nuclear innovation*** Play a pivotal role in enabling the transition from **design to construction**## ## **Inclusion & diversity**We are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
