The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Location: Hybrid working with one of the following as a primary site: Derby, Warrington or Manchester.

We are Rolls-Royce SMR and we’re doing something that’s never been done before. We’re revolutionising an industry. This is more than just a job; this is a legacy. We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Engineer, to be involved in an industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.

Reporting to one of the Team Leaders in the Reactor Island Civil and Structural Team, this role will be responsible for delivering packages of civil and structural analysis and design work including calculations, analysis models, technical reports and general project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate contribution to reducing/managing conventional health and safety risks in the design of the RR SMR Plant.
  • Contribute to development of an integrated design and safety case for the elements of the RR SMR Plant within their scope.
  • Identify, manage and verify requirements for the elements of the RR SMR Plant within their scope.
  • Ensure successful delivery of programme milestone and technical governance in accordance with time, cost and quality metrics.
  • Deliver packages of design work within their scope in accordance with time, cost and quality metrics.
  • Contribute towards the RR SMR organisational objectives as agreed with their line manager.
  • Exhibit behaviours in accordance with the RR SMR values and behaviours objectives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful working environment, where team members feel valued, are empowered to make decisions and challenge direction, with physical and mental well-being maintained as a key priority.
