Our General Counsel function sits at the heart of enabling a safe, secure, and globally market‑ready SMR programme. The team shapes the frameworks, policies and controls that protect our technology and ensure we can operate confidently across international markets.
We are now looking for an Export Control and Sanctions Manager to support our Head of Export Control and Sanctions in developing and operating a modern, scalable export control framework. This is a pivotal role with significant organisational impact, helping us meet regulatory requirements while enabling strategic programme delivery across the business.
We’ll need you to:
- Lead and mature our export control framework covering hardware, software, technology, data and services.
- Drive IT & Digital export control solutions, including access controls, metadata tagging and automated workflows.
- Provide specialist advice across teams, supporting licensing, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and assess impacts on our programme.
As you can see, this is a high‑profile role where you’ll bring a collaborative mindset, sound judgement and first‑class communication skills to influence at all levels, as well as:
- Strong knowledge of UK and US export control legislation, ideally within engineering or technology‑driven environments.
- Experience designing or driving export control governance and working with regulators or government bodies.
- In‑depth understanding of nuclear‑sector controls, digital export control considerations, and modern compliance tooling.
