We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Manager – Structural Integrityto be involved in a game changing role as we strive to make the nuclear industry more diverse.
The Manager – Structural Integrity is responsible for the development of the structural integrity requirements and guidance for mechanical pressure-retaining components. They will assist in the implementation of those requirements in component designs and across the Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) case.
The key responsibilities are to:
- Act as a technical expert for the structural integrity discipline, engaging in design and development work across the business.
- Develop the structural integrity case for the UK generic design of the Rolls-Royce SMR.
- Define the strategic direction of the structural integrity case and implement that within the team\’s activities.
- Be accountable for the development and refinement of the beyond code requirements which meet the UK expectations for highest reliability components.
- Be accountable for the development of requirements for lower classification components to meet UK legislative requirements.
- Define and refine requirements for other international regulatory regimes and expectations as required.
- Act as the technical lead for structural integrity through the Generic Design Assessment (GDA) process, interfacing frequently with regulators through written communication and technical meetings.
- Be accountable for team outputs being to-time and to-quality, through programme support, technical reviewing and checking.
- Act as a key leader within the Components and Mechanical Equipment department and hold people leadership accountability for the small team.
- Exemplify leadership behaviours and be an advocate for the department / business.

We anticipate paying a salary of between £57,600- £74,500 (DOE) plus:-
- Bonus – Performance related bonus of up to 12.5%
- Benefits Allowance – £2200, enabling you to create a bespoke package
- Pension – 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- Holidays – 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
- Private Medical Insurance – BUPA single cover health care
- Life Assurance – 6x pensionable pay
- £250 – One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
