About the Role
We’re looking for a HR Advisor to join our growing team at Rolls-Royce SMR. As a true generalist role and ambassador for the HR function within the business, this role is a first point of contact for HR queries from People Leaders and employees and will either support themselves, or signpost to the best point of contact for advice. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role will deliver activities and initiatives within their business areas, and act as a true team player, supporting across the wider business as required.
Their main duties include delivering high quality administrative support and thorough, practical, advice to managers, delivered with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
We’ll need you to:
- Employee Relations & Advisory Support
- Provide first-line advice and coaching on HR policies and ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance/wellbeing, and performance management.
- Support end-to-end case management with professionalism and discretion.
- HR Operations & Process Management
- Manage starters, movers, and leavers processes in Workday, ensuring accuracy and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Reward, Payroll, and HCM teams to maintain governance and process integrity.
- Data & Insights
- Run reports and interpret HR data to provide actionable insights to the business.
- Recommend improvements to systems and processes based on experience and findings.
- Engagement & Development
- Positively promote initiatives around colleague engagement, ED&I, and wellbeing.
- Deliver workshops and induction sessions on HR topics to employees and People Leaders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with People Leaders and Trade Union representatives.
- Engage with third-party providers such as Occupational Health to ensure services meet SLAs.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of working in a generalist HR function.
- Experience of complex ER case work.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or willing to work towards. Relevant, equivalent career experience will be considered.
- Experience of working with Workday (or an equivalent HR system e.g. SAP, Oracle). We may require candidates to complete Workday training or courses.
- Desirable – Mental Health First Aid and/or Wellbeing experience.
