Role Purpose
We are seeking multiple Buyers to join our expanding procurement functions across divisions such as Partnerships, Commodities, Civils and more. Each Buyer will play a key role in developing and delivering purchasing strategies across direct and indirect categories. You\’ll support sourcing campaigns from initiation through to contract award, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure best value is achieved. Purchase orders typically range from £100,000 to £2–3 million.
Key Responsibilities and Required Experience
- Source and manage the Rolls‑Royce global supply chain to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements
- Ensure compliance with functional processes, procedures, and ethical standards
- Create and manage commercial frameworks to optimise supplier performance and value
- Run strategic sourcing events including tenders and RFIs/RFQs
- Lead purchase-to-pay (P2P) activities and reporting
- Manage supplier relationships and support continuous improvement within assigned categories or projects
- Demonstrate advanced Excel and MS Office skills for cost modelling and analysis
Mandatory Experience, Training or Qualifications
- BA degree or equivalent industry experience
- Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards
- Proven understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes
- Strong analytical and commercial skills with advanced Excel capabilities
Beneficial Experience, Training or Qualifications
- Experience within procurement, purchasing, commercial or supply chain environments—across any industry or sector
- Familiarity with sourcing documentation and supplier interaction, including RFIs, RFQs or tender processes
- Understanding of contractual arrangements, either locally or internationally
- Strong analytical and commercial skills to assess supplier proposals and deliver best value
