The Senior Planning Manager will lead the creation and execution of comprehensive project plans for a cutting‑edge power station design, ensuring alignment with business and customer objectives, resource allocation, risk management and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a schedule that meets all customer contractual and business requirements.
  • Integrate subcontract packages and maintain schedule integrity through validation of dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Support the PMO in governance of scheduling standards and frameworks across the organisation.
  • Coordinate with lead planners, project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to maintain accurate critical‑path data.
  • Prepare and present high‑level project status reports to senior management, explaining critical path and float positions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and industry standards.
  • Provide training and support to team members on scheduling best practices and tools.
  • Collaborate with teams to anticipate and manage future planning resource demands.
  • Facilitate integration of schedule with cost for Earned Value Analysis and other performance metrics.

  • Deliver an integrated schedule aligned across all project phases.
  • Enable planning teams to meet contractual deadlines.
  • Provide enhanced visibility of programme timelines for senior stakeholders through accurate reporting.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: £68,000 – £89,000 (DOE) with a target bonus up to 17%.
  • Benefits allowance: £5,000 per annum for a bespoke package.
  • Pension: 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays: 28 days plus public holidays, with option to buy or sell up to 4 days.
  • Private medical insurance (BUPA single cover).
  • Life assurance: 6× pensionable pay or £250 one‑off new‑starter payment for home‑office purchases.
  • Pay range: £71,000 – £93,187.50 (subject to review).
