We are seeking Lead Power Station Integration Engineers to play a pivotal role in the definition and integration of the RR SMR power station. You will lead teams of engineers using systems engineering methods to deliver an integrated product‑level design, working across functional areas to ensure that top‑level technical, safety and performance requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team delivering the product‑level design of the power station to meet business and customer requirements.
- Manage key performance and attribute measures (e.g. net power output, availability, cost).
- Elicit and decompose product‑level requirements and develop functional architectures using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Lead integration across multi‑disciplined design teams to ensure a coherent and compliant power station design.
- Undertake optioneering to evaluate and select design solutions that meet product requirements.
- Experience in product or system‑level design and integration, solving complex challenges across multiple systems or disciplines.
- A strong grounding in Systems Engineering methods, including requirements elicitation and derivation.
- Experience with Capella or other MBSE/requirements management tools is desirable.
- Engineering background in nuclear, power generation or another highly regulated sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working across multi‑disciplined teams.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in delivering product‑level or system‑level solutions.
- Salary: £57,600 – £75,600 DOE
- Bonus: 12.5% performance‑related target opportunity
- Allowance: £2,200 per annum to build a bespoke package
- Pension: 12% employer / 6% employee contributions
- Holidays: 28 days + public holidays (with the option to buy or sell up to 4 days)
- Private Medical Insurance: BUPA single cover
- Life Assurance: 6× pensionable pay
- Hybrid Working: Weekly attendance expected at either Manchester, Warrington or Derby
