Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Site Installations

The appointment of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Site Installations will be a pivotal role at Rolls Royce SMR to define how manufactured components are assembled, integrated and installed at site whilst ensuring constructability, safety and programme efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of installation methods and manage interfaces between manufacturing, engineering and construction functions
• Establish and lead the Site Installation Engineering function
• Develop installation and assembly strategies
• Lead stakeholder engagement across construction and engineering teams
• Build capability, governance and engineering processes for site delivery

We seek an organised and a natural leader who will have had exposure in regulated or safety-critical environments (as you would expect nuclear "know-how" will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and manufacturing sectors may all have transferable capability).

Required Experience

• Senior manufacturing or installation engineering leadership experience.
• Large project delivery experience.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing complex technical interfaces.
• Strategic planning and team leadership capability

This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office. Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travel required. Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.

Compensation and Benefits

In return we offer:

• A salary between £60,000 and £78,750 depending on experience
• 12.5% performance related bonus
• A benefits allowance of £2,200 to build a personalised package
• Pension - 12% employer, 6% employee
• Holidays - 28 days + public holidays (option to buy/sell up to 4 days)
• Private Medical Insurance - BUPA
• Life Assurance - 6× pensionable pay
• £250 one-off home office setup payment

Pay Range: £60,000.00 - £78,750.00

• Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
• Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
