Responsible for delivering internal audits supporting our mission to provide clean, affordable energy via Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology. The role reports to the Internal Audit Manager and focuses on enhancing governance, risk management and efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver internal audits according to the annual audit plan, producing high‑quality insights and recommendations.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to discuss findings and action items.
- Support audit action tracking and follow‑ups to ensure effective risk mitigation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for data, digital and audit methodology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with interest in a professional audit qualification (CIA, ACA, ACCA).
- Experience in internal audit preferred; related experience in external audit, finance or risk is acceptable.
- Confidence in working with stakeholders and communicating complex topics clearly.
- Technical proficiency, analytical mindset and curiosity to improve processes and ways of working.
Location
Hybrid – flexible and based from one of our UK offices in Derby, Manchester or Warrington. Regular attendance is required at the chosen office.
Benefits and Salary
- Salary: £42,000 – £55,150 net, based on skills and experience.
- Performance‑related bonus up to 12.5%.
- Benefits allowance of £2,200 for a bespoke package.
- Employer pension contribution of 12% (employee 6%).
- 28 days holiday plus public holidays; option to buy or sell up to 4 days.
- Private medical insurance (BUPA single cover).
- Life assurance of 6× pensionable pay.
