Overview

We are recruiting a Document Controller for Rolls‑Royce SMR, a company that delivers revolutionary nuclear technology. The role supports safety and regulatory compliance and is part of our Legacy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Document Management System for internal and external use.
  • Develop and deploy Lifetime Quality Records strategy.
  • Implement robust documentation control measures to ensure reliability and accessibility.
  • Adhere to documentation management processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on system registers.
  • Provide status reporting on documentation.
  • Drive improvements to the documentation system.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Establishment and ongoing management of documentation, procedure and process management systems.
  • Document control internally and externally to guarantee reliability and accessibility.
  • Daily administration of the document management system.
  • Adherence to internal and external documentation management policies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive quality checks on documents following programme-defined protocols.
  • Experience creating and reviewing documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborating with the Lifetime Quality Records team.
  • IT skills: Access, Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with web‑based applications/software and document control systems.

Additional Requirements

  • BPSS clearance.
  • DBS check.
  • Basic financial probity check.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary: £30,000 – £39,400.
  • Bonus: Performance‑related bonus up to 7%.
  • Benefits Allowance: £2,200.
  • Pension: 12% employer contribution and 6% employee contribution.
  • Holidays: 28 days, plus public holidays; ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
  • Private Medical Insurance: Bupa single cover.
  • Life Assurance: 6× pensionable pay.
  • One‑off payment for new starters: £250 to purchase home‑office equipment.
