At Rolls-Royce SMR, our mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. We are developing a British solution to a global energy challenge, leading the way in Small Modular Reactor technology and creating one of the UK’s most exciting green export opportunities.

As we scale towards deployment, our Operations and Supply Chain capability is critical to ensuring safe, predictable and cost-effective delivery. This role sits at the heart of that ambition—shaping how logistics planning is driven by high-quality data, enabling smarter decisions and world-class delivery performance.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Logistics Planning, the Senior Logistics Planning Manager is responsible for leading master data development to inform logistics strategy, scenario modelling and solution planning across the SMR programme.

You’ll act as the subject matter expert on logistics data—ensuring the right inputs, assumptions and structures are in place to support everything from First of a Kind (FoAK) delivery through to full fleet deployment.

With responsibility for a team of circa 10 and budgets of ~£100m, you’ll play a key role in integrating logistics planning across engineering, construction and supply chain functions to ensure each powerplant is delivered to cost and schedule.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the development of master data strategies, including Plan for Every Part (PFEP), to support end-to-end logistics planning and scenario modelling

  • Ensuring data availability and integrity to enable solution design for generic, customer-specific and fleet deployment scenarios

  • Collaborating with Engineering, Construction, Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to define and align data requirements across the programme lifecycle

  • Supporting logistics tenders (RFI/SOW) by providing robust data and analysis for systems, freight and warehousing solutions

  • Establishing clear governance over assumptions, data inputs and cost modelling to ensure transparency and accuracy

  • Driving the implementation of logistics planning data and strategies throughout programme delivery

  • Acting as the key expert on how data informs logistics and supply chain solutions across the organisation

  • Leading, developing and growing a high-performing logistics planning team

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in logistics and supply chain management within complex, large-scale environments

  • Strong expertise in data-driven logistics planning and the use of master data to inform strategy and solutions

  • Experience developing and deploying PFEP or similar planning methodologies

  • Strong analytical capability, including experience with data tools and applying assumptions where required to enable progress

  • Understanding of physical logistics flows, factory layouts and optimisation principles

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across engineering, construction and supply chain

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) with ongoing professional development

  • Experience in infrastructure, construction or manufacturing environments highly desirable
