Responsibilities
- Drives business value by offering targeted financial and analytical reporting to assist in decision‑making processes.
- Supports the local Finance Manager in producing management and statutory accounts.
- Provides additional management accounting support to businesses within the RR Solutions UK legal entity.
- Helps to hold individual stakeholders accountable with active involvement in the key projects of the business.
- Continuously tracks and manages business risks and opportunities.
- Seeks to continuously improve financial processes and increase the transparency and quality of financial information.
- Must be flexible and able to manage tight deadlines, have a hands‑on mentality, and handle confidential topics with care.
Position Qualifications
- Extensive and proven ability to work in various functions of management and statutory accounting.
- Good knowledge of project accounting with experience in supporting contract trading and governmental long‑term projects.
- Experience in working in a business with full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash responsibility.
- Financial qualification with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
- Some experience in ERP implementations with the ability to lead the finance workstream.
Preferred Requirements
- Possesses strong cross‑functional thinking, interpersonal and negotiation skills to work effectively within a business team.
- Able to set and manage own priorities and manage simultaneous deliverables.
- Hands‑on experience of financial accounting, for example Monthly Closing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash management.
- Excellent IT skills, for example Oracle Hyperion, Business Intelligence and SAP.
- Strong background in MOD accounting and in a manufacturing or repair & overhaul business.
- Flexible to travel with the UK Power Systems.
