We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Trent Fleet and Mature engines Value Stream as the VP Fleet Management – Trent 1000 & 7000. Working as part of a cross‑functional team, this role is accountable for planning and delivering fleet health, optimising the engine removal demand and delivering the in‑year profit by shop visit events. You will gain unique insights working directly with customers, across Aftermarket Operations and Customer Teams, and influence how we generate profit working with the Value Stream VP Value Delivery and VP Cost.
The VP Fleet Management – Trent 1000 & 7000 role requires working closely with Boeing and Airbus to manage the in‑service 787 and A330 NEO fleets as we look to secure more new aircraft in both platforms. The recovery of the Trent 1000 in service has been a core strategic objective for Rolls‑Royce and we must maintain and now exceed customer expectations to recover market share in this programme. The A330 NEO continues to perform well in service, with aircraft sales secured into the 2030s with new customers taking delivery of aircraft every month.
Responsibilities
- Set the value stream strategic MRO demand requirements, including providing forecasts and load signals to ensure sufficient capacity and capabilities to support customer needs and the business plan.
- Define the fleet management strategy and policy, including shop visit plans and major campaigns ensuring containment, root cause and corrective actions to meet fleet health and reliability targets.
- Design, deliver and maintain a value stream that appropriately balances risk and ensures the plan optimises shop visits and lease assets to minimise working capital.
- Integrate the SIOP demand management process in the value stream so they include the broadest solutions to optimise the balance of supply and demand.
- Lead appropriate governance across the Value Stream to ensure agreed plans are maintained and delivered and 5‑year targets are achieved.
- Drive systemic improvement and readiness plans across the aftermarket and new engine value streams to ensure a robust operational plan is in place to deliver customer requirements.
- Lead and engage a team of cross‑functional managers to maximise performance.
