The role primarily focuses on non-NSRP and support systems but may extend to Reactor Plant systems as required.A key aspect of the role involves working in a joint team with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Babcock to deliver collaborative solutions. Ensure alignment with industry standards, operational requirements, and safety requirements* Lead and manage optimisation projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with technical and operational quality standards. These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.The skills required are:* Qualified to a degree level in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines) or equivalent experience is required* Have in depth knowledge of Submarine systems, including Nuclear Reactor Plants, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Structural, Electrical, and Electronic Components. Experience in the Submarine Enterprise or related industries (e.g., Aerospace, Oil and Gas) is advantageous* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills along with proactively identifying and implementing improvements* Experience of working with cross-functional teams and engaging with external and internal stakeholders at all levels* Proficient in analysing maintenance data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions. Familiarity with statistical tools and performance metrics is beneficial* Experience in regulated environments, such as the Submarine Enterprise, Nuclear Industry, or other Defence-Related sectors is beneficial but not required* Experience as a Category A or B Watchkeeper in a Nuclear Submarine environment is highly desirableWe are an equal opportunities employer.
