An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Data Specialist to join our newly formed team in Derby. You will be joining a team in the Indirect & Procurement Excellence organisation, driving excellence in our Procurement Systems and Data. Your primary focus will be on delivering digital capability and utilising data to deliver value to our procurement teams and improve cost and efficiency in our supply chain.
We are looking for someone who can manage a varied, complex, and busy workload and who can work both individually and as part of a team. The team works with global buying teams across the business and will play a key part in our organisation. Recognising that digitalisation is a core part of Roll‑Royce’s strategy, the team is looking to change the way Rolls‑Royce buys. This varied role will allow you to shape the future of procurement at our world‑class engineering and manufacturing organisation. This role would suit someone with a digital mindset, good analytical skills, a history of delivery and someone who can clearly communicate with stakeholders and deliver insights to our buying teams.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and manage relationships across Procurement, IT, Engineering and the wider business.
- Resolve complex problems encountered by the buying teams and deliver solutions alongside IT for the teams to utilise.
- Deliver data‑driven efficiency and process improvements.
- Proactively search the market for new technology and capability to drive business benefits.

Qualifications:
- Industry work experience in similar roles.
- A bachelor’s degree/equivalent – desirable.
- Ability to act as an interface between IT and Business Users.
- Able to communicate complex data clearly.
- Ability to work with and across various teams.
- Experience using a variety of analytics tools, including Power BI and Databricks – desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform suite – desirable.
- Ability to use Microsoft SharePoint at an advanced level – Build Sites, Forms, Lists, Manage Document Libraries.
- Awareness of MS Entra/Azure Access Packages – desirable.
- Experience of automation of manual tasks using digital tools.
- Business acumen and preferably knowledge of procurement practices.
