Job Description
A Power Platform Developer opportunity has arisen to join our team. As a Power Platform Developer, you will lead end-to-end application development using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Fabric. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions and develop engaging applications with UI standards aligned to Rolls-Royce branding.
What you will be doing:
- Power BI: Develop and manage data models, create interactive dashboards, and generate reports to provide actionable insights. Ensure data accuracy and security.
- Power Automate: Design and implement automated workflows to streamline business processes. Monitor and maintain these workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Power Apps: Develop Canvas or Model-driven applications based on requirements. Manage data sources and ensure data security through Dataverse. Perform end-to-end testing and deployment.
- Microsoft Fabric and Databricks: Utilize for data integration, transformation, and analytics. Ensure seamless data flow and integration across different platforms.
- Work with stakeholders in refining requirements and providing engaging UI experience through Power Apps.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage small delivery teams to derive value outcomes.
- Openly communicate with all the stakeholders. Timely communication on status & issues.
Position qualifications:
- A base understanding of Python is preferred.
- Technologies/Tools: Strong Experience with Power Platform – Power BI, Power App & Power Automate. Power Pages is an option. Familiarity with HTML, web application development, and SQL Server.
- Cloud: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure PaaS.
- Identity & Access Management: Knowledge of AD, Azure AD, and application functionality such as SSO and RBAC.
- DevOps: Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools.
Preferred requirements:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Understanding of SAP scripting and Visual Basic (VB) is desirable.
- Agile Practices: Knowledge of Agile practices and processes.
- Best Practices: Define and enforce best practices, design/coding standards to improve the quality of deliverables and ensure compliance with defined reference architecture and engineering prescriptions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise with users.
