An excellent Secondment opportunity has arisen in the New Build and Components Team in PCO at Raynesway. The secondment will be for a minimum of six months.
Key Responsibilities
- SAFETY – Drive and champion cell activities for HS&E compliance and perform regular workplace go-look-see activities to highlight and eliminate risk.
- PRODUCT SAFETY – Accountable for ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standard to ensure conformance to the engineering specification, and for promoting a product safety culture in the organisation.
- QUALITY – Ensure absolute adherence to Procedures, Technical Instructions and other relevant company legislative and technical standards through frequent compliance checks; follow-up any non-conformance and lead problem solving on compliance issues that may delay production delivery.
- COST – Understand the cell cost centre budget and engage with the team to drive productivity and utilisation; ensure team booking disciplines are adhered to and confirm all diversion bookings.
- DELIVERY – Review relevant key metrics (e.g. bottlenecks and slow moving WIP) to ensure adequate product flow to achieve the delivery plan(s); review and understand cell performance metrics (e.g. Operations Rate, Std hrs, WIP) to provide insights to the Production Leader and wider team of four, to facilitate improved performance in the cell.
- PEOPLE – Deliver clear and concise communication to all team members, including performance against targets; lead the team to deliver against them, resolving issues before escalation; act as single point of contact for cell escalation, supporting any team of four or escalation reviews; lead cell formal handover activities at start/end of shift and stand-in for Operational Leadership when required, to ensure continuity of purpose for the cell.
- LEAN – Ensure that all relevant manufacturing operating systems principles and minimum standards are fully deployed and sustained within the business in support of performance objectives and coach the team to fully participate in continuous improvement.
Qualifications

- Understands the criticality of our products and the importance of product integrity.
- Strong understanding of visual management and its impact on performance in the cell.
- Understanding of problem resolution processes and the ability to proactively identify issues, implement effective solutions and drive actions to closure.
- Hold a UK nationality; dual nationals require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
