What you will be doing
To lead and manage the operational delivery of high-quality occupational health services across a large multi-site organisation. This role ensures the consistent, compliant and efficient provision of services that support employee health, wellbeing and productivity while aligning with organisational objectives and statutory requirements. The post holder will support the Head of Occupational Health and the wider team and will actively invest in and engage with multi-site teams to ensure a unified and high-performing service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordination of Health Surveillance programmes, contractor management, data systems are aligned with the Health and Safety objectives and statutory requirements
- Manage day to day operations of OH services across multiple UK sites and Divisions, ensuring a timely and effective service delivery, adapting to the unique needs of each location.
- Act as a key point of contact for managers, HR, Health & Safety and external providers, offering support, advice and ensuring alignment with the organisational needs.
- To simplify and ensure consistent delivery of OH programs including Health Surveillance, Preplacement, Fitness for work Assessments, Wellbeing initiatives and Absence return to work co-ordination
- Ensure all services meet legal, regulatory and ethical standards, including health and safety legislation, data protection and clinical governance.
- Monitor performance data and feedback to drive continuous improvement, ensuring services are efficient and evidence based.
- Support with the management and oversight of operational budgets, contracts and procurement for occupational health services, ensuring cost effectiveness and value for money.
What you will need
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and reasoning skills
- Good IT skills to include knowledge of Office 365, and database systems
- Ability to produce and analyse business management information
- Experience of relationship and contract management within the medical or medical insurance sectors
- Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships
- Ability to work unsupervised and liaise with and coordinate others
- Full UK driver’s licence
