We have an exciting opening for an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Level 2 Technician to work in our NDT facility at Solihull (Derwent facility). You will be part of a busy NDT department, processing various components for the manufacturing of valves and pumps, ensuring compliance to NDT procedures.

What you will be doing:

  • Inspecting components with the use of Penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle.
  • Additional duties associated with the processes.
  • You will be involved in the testing of high integrity components through all stages of life.
  • You will operate as part of a close-knit team with technical excellence and customer satisfaction high on the agenda, using a mixture of bespoke and standard NDE equipment.
  • With quality paramount to the success of our business, you will be required to demonstrate compliance to relevant company, national, and international standards to a level beyond reproach.

Position qualifications:

  • You will ideally possess a high level of education, Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Professional qualifications in NDT are highly beneficial (e.g. PCN, SNT, ASNT, EN4179, NAS410), with the ideal candidate qualified in PT and MT techniques.

Preferred requirements:

  • You will have experience in the field of NDT, with past or current NDT approvals.
  • Ideally this experience will have been gained in a relevant industry, such as Aerospace, or products and services, where high levels of reliability and integrity are required.
  • We also believe for the right candidate, this may be an ideal opportunity for someone not currently in NDT, to enter the field through the training programme to gain the necessary qualifications.
  • A demonstrable ability to work in a highly technical environment, in multidisciplinary team and with the ability to work to deadlines is required.
