An exciting opportunity to join the Submarines Logistics Operation that supports every area of the Submarines Enterprise. This role is an entry level position to enable the right candidate to support the movements of items using various types of lifting equipment. It also empowers the right candidate to enhance their current skills and allow scope for possible future progression to other roles in the business.

What you will be doing:
- To ensure that all materials are physically receipted, put-away, picked, processed and despatched in accordance with defined procedures and the materials plan.
- Act with integrity and trust to ensure all physical aspects of logistics management are performed safely and in accordance with quality standards.
- Promoting compliance and adherence to logistics processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure that all materials are receipted, put-away, picked, processed and despatched in accordance with all local & governing procedures, ensuring goods receipt physical inspections are completed and processed using appropriate inspection methods in line with company procedure.
- Ensure full compliance to all appropriate HSE, Quality standards & Inspection procedures.
- Comply with the company health, safety and environmental policy and help to embed a culture of open and honest reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Physical Logistics processes to reduce costs and increase service levels.
- To maintain raw material provisions to ensure production demands are met.
- To ensure material is suitably packaged in line with quality and regulatory requirements; to load and unload delivery vehicles, and where required, direct to the appropriate loading bay.
- Ensuring paperwork (for example but not limited to, GF/GR/PoD) is retained and handed over to the relevant Logistics Operative for retention.
- Responsible for booking transport requests and liaising with security / police as required.
- Perform physical counts to support the Physical perpetual inventory (PPI) process.
- Operate physical elements of the logistics processes including, but not exclusively, lifting, MHE etc.
- To operate to the relevant policies and procedures as defined and comply with RRMS.

- Have a proven track record in lifting equipment from B1, B2, B3 or D1, D2 or Multi FLT’s and/or overhead cranes up to 100 tonnes.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
