Role Overview
The Installation and Commissioning Engineer will support the Site Team in the installation and commissioning of the UDGs (Ultimate Diesel Generators) and provide advice and guidance in operational processes and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Site Team during installation and commissioning of the UDGs.
- Visiting the site to support ongoing operations at HPC Somerset.
- Assisting Logistics coordinators with equipment delivery to site.
- Supporting delivery of equipment into the EDF NNB remote warehouses and producing supporting documentation including Care and Maintenance plans and schedules, ensuring storage conditions and inventory control.
- Acting as lead reviewer for document packages such as Packaging Specifications, Packing List, Storage and Transport Specifications.
- Assisting with creation of Outline Installation Method Statements.
- Creating, reviewing and managing UDG system commissioning procedures.
- Offering technical solutions to site install and commissioning issues.
- Operating and managing site management systems (SWITCH, VMS, WIMS etc).
Qualifications
- Experience of large or complex site systems installation and commissioning.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering.
- Strong documentation creation experience, with site work integral to the role.
