  • Title: HSE Manager – Submarines

Location: Raynesway, Derby Responsibilities Act as the HSE specialist for Rolls‑Royce Submarines, accountable for the performance and results of HSE.

Maintain knowledge of best‑practice HSE legislation and that of key stakeholders, and use them to drive strategy, processes and performance.

Provide technical HSE direction to operation, maintenance and design teams within the organisation.

Develop policies and strategies for continuous improvement and development of the HSE culture, encouraging, motivating and recognising good behaviour at all levels.

Establish, maintain and lead all significant accident and incident investigations, record systems, reports and accident trend analysis.

Represent the business on HSE matters with Regulators, Customers, Suppliers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications Educated to degree level or equivalent professional HSE qualifications.

Chartered or working towards chartered membership of IOSH.

Experienced in providing high‑level advice and risk‑based solutions in a diverse range of disciplines.

Proven track record in HSE management.

Experience in HSE in Design and Construction.

Ability to influence and facilitate ownership and commitment by management and active participation.

Knowledge of the business area, specific risks and industry approaches would be advantageous.
