An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Property/GBS Team in Poland or the UK. This role reports to the Vice President of Strategy & Performance. The Group Property Capital Controller will ensure that property related capital spend is managed, tracked, reported and deployed in ways that meet investment case requirements and adhere to agreed affordability targets which enables RR to modernise our infrastructure, unlock operational efficiencies, and support the future capabilities of our growing FTSE-5 business. This position is ideal for someone who excels in financial preparation, data accuracy, cross functional co-ordination & process discipline. You will help ensure that our global property investments are well-governed & submission ready in line with our strategic priorities. The role provides essential support to Group Property and the Central Finance Capital Manager throughout the capital cycle, focusing on compiling accurate data, supporting the property related 5YP forecasting process and ensuring attention to detail across the various property investments being reviewed by Group Property. You will lead training of broader team members, ensure sound investment performance guidance to enable best practice and standardisation across property investments.

What you will be doing:

  • Investment Committee (IC) Preparation – responsible for creating & working with Business & Investment case teams globally to prepare inputs for IC submissions.
  • Direct Scheme Support: Establish & prepare financial inputs for investment, documentation & compliance requirements for GP capital investments.
  • Capital Data Preparation – lead the preparation validation & consolidation of GP related data & models with reporting accuracy to agreed timelines.
  • Business Case Lead – manage & prioritise demand relating to property investments into and by GP to ensure governance and approval process.
  • Governance & Assurance – lead improvements to reporting standards & process across the capital lifecycle to ensure right first-time quality.
  • Tracking & Monitoring: manage investments to ensure AP’ly, quarterly and yearly budget commitments are tracked and measured against agreed targets.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support – actively manage the integrity of data i.e. key inputs to ensure robust GP forecasts (i.e. Property Sales), assumptions & associated reporting.
  • Champion Process Improvements: be leading initiatives to streamline & aid efficiency of data management, reporting & governance.

Position qualifications:

  • Degree level or equivalent / working towards appropriate recognition in Financial or Commercial discipline.
  • Good breadth of experience in business focussed data analysis.
  • In lieu of a degree – extensive business experience with focus on finance & management of data.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets and data tools.

Preferred requirements:

  • Direct Financial and Capital Management knowledge / experience.
  • Professional Qualification (eg ACCA, CIMA, AAT) beneficial.
  • Familiarity with capital investment processes advantageous.
