Rolls‐Royce is contracted to deliver a range of technical support services and maintenance capabilities for domestic and international air forces on multiple fast jet and transport aircraft engines. As a Mobile Field Service Representative, your principal accountabilities will be to provide local technical support in respect of the operation and maintenance for customer engines, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues thus minimising operational disruption.
The role is within a pool of Field Service Representatives who support customers at various international and UK locations through multi-year postings. The vacancy is only open to individuals eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. The initial location for this role will be our Warton site near Preston for approximately 2 years.

UK/International Deployed Operations consists of a number of Field Service Representatives that support the customer at their location as the first point of contact for Rolls‐Royce. This role has the opportunity to work directly with the customer and develop key interpersonal skills for personal growth. With the mobile nature, each customer and location is very different giving a broad perspective on aircraft and engine operation. Each day is very different in dealing with whatever issues present themselves in a fast paced dynamic operational environment.
What you will be doing:
- Resolve customer technical issues in line with contractual requirements and provide support to help maintain customer satisfaction/complaint targets and delivery, including proactive management of the issues to resolution.
- Input engine events and data highlighting, to the wider organisation, engine related issues that are impacting fleet reliability and operability.
- Manage the “in service” customer relationships across various levels within the Customer, OEM and Supplier organisations.
- Monitor and input fleet data to, and liaise with, the customer community on short term fleet planning and availability to ensure that they have confidence in the level of service being provided and to manage Customer expectations.
- Lead and conduct maintenance activities where Engine Maintenance and Repair activity is carried out.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Be technically competent to at least HND level or having equivalent relevant experience.
- Have experience of aircraft propulsion system and maintenance at ML1 / ML2; will have been trained within the propulsion trade or come from a relevant Engineering / Service Engineering discipline, or holds equivalent qualifications.
- Have knowledge of Regulatory Requirements (Military and/or Civil).
- Have experience of dealing in a customer facing environment.
- Have the capability to be Responsive, Flexible and Agile in your work.

Rolls‐Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
