Rolls-Royce is a global engineering business delivering high-performance solutions.

This role sits in the Financial Planning team, responsible for the planning, reporting and analysis of the consolidated CA forecast financial performance (short, medium, and long-term), delivering insight and judgement to aid understanding of CA sector and segment performance to internal and external stakeholders.

The role supports the Civil Aerospace leadership team (CALT) and the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team (Group FP&A).

You will be actively involved in financial planning exercises and provide value-added financial analysis, judgement, and insight to facilitate decision-making and understanding of the CA business across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the preparation, coordination, consolidation, analysis and presentation of short and mid-term forecasts and updates to senior management, Group FP&A and CALT.
  • Lead completion of Target Cascade, 5YP and Quarterly forecasts.
  • Consolidate variance analysis and commentary from businesses to facilitate forecast completion.
  • Support completion of forecasts for Civil HQ entities.
  • Lead completion of Sensitivities / Viabilities / Deferred Tax Asset assessment to support year-end activities.
  • Be an expert user of HFM and OHP for CA using Smart View to upload and retrieve data, driving data integrity and providing guidance to the business.
  • Drive improved forecasting processes and maintain models that support how businesses produce forecasts.
  • Provide strategic financial information to support the CA business strategy team and underpinning projects, briefing CALT on significant results and driving appropriate actions.
  • Provide high-quality ad-hoc CA financial management information and analysis to support CALT and Group FP&A.

Qualifications

  • Self-starter with excellent modelling and analytical skills, a drive for results, business acumen and insight.
  • Degree level or equivalent industry experience; recognised accounting qualification.
  • OHP/HFM experience, particularly Smart View, and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Track record of presenting insight to business leaders.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Proactive, accountable, hands-on, able to work on own initiative.
  • Inquisitive and willing to challenge the business when necessary.
