This fixed-term opportunity covers a maternity leave within the Events team at Rolls-Royce. It offers exposure to a fast-paced, global events function and the chance for a real impact from day one.
Role Purpose
The Events Officer supports the end-to-end execution of external and internal events, helping to bring Rolls-Royce’s corporate narrative to life and ensuring every event lands with impact, on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Support Event Planning and Delivery – provide coordination support across the full lifecycle of events, from logistics planning and venue management to supplier liaison and on-site delivery.
- Assist in managing event budgets, tracking expenditure and raising purchase orders accurately and timely.
- Maintain and update the central events calendar, prioritising and planning effectively across a busy portfolio.
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure all event requirements are met.
- Delegate and Stakeholder Experience – act as the key point of contact for event delegates and internal stakeholders, handling queries professionally and promptly. Support briefing and preparation of leaders and speakers. Champion the delegate experience at every touchpoint, reflecting Rolls-Royce’s values and high standards.
- Content and Brand – ensure all event materials, including signage, presentations and collateral, are consistent with the visual identity guidelines, and coordinate with the Content and Channels team to support event amplification through social media, internal channels and media coverage.
- Evaluation and Continuous Improvement – track event performance against agreed metrics (attendance, delegate feedback, post-event coverage), compile evaluation reports, share insights and contribute to the development of team tools, processes and ways of working.
Qualifications
Essential Minimum:
- 2 years’ experience in events coordination within a corporate environment.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Proactive, self-starting, able to work at pace in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- May require international travel.
Desirable:
- Passion for or knowledge of the engineering, aerospace or technology sector.
- Experience using event management platforms or tools.
- Exposure to international or cross-cultural events environments.
- Familiarity with budget tracking and basic financial administration.
