An exciting opportunity to join the Derby-based Electronics Test and Measurement development team at Rolls-Royce. This role focuses on electronics hardware and software design, measurement systems, instrumentation and sensors, and ensuring data validity, traceability and integrity to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop potential concepts and use engineering design methods to determine the best product solution.
- Use fit-for-purpose approval processes for design solutions.
- Develop and design potential definitions/solutions including expected performance.
- Use engineering methods to determine the best solution using internal and external supply chain.
- Elicit, document and maintain customer requirements from customer needs throughout the solution's life (design, make, operation, maintenance, repair and de-commissioning).
- Implement effective technical support for the solution and apply HSE policy during operations, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Create, execute and maintain a validation plan for the system and provide validation evidence and reports.
- Ensure that the measurement system delivers the correct results.
- Work with a range of stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to configure and maintain product and component testing arrangements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems impacting measurement activities and coordinate support activities.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in similar engineering roles.
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience with both software and hardware development.
- Experience with electronics design and test development of electronics measurement equipment and products (preferred).
- Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
