Job Description: Data Governance Delivery Manager – Full Time – Derby
We are looking for a Data Governance Delivery Manager to join our Digital Factory team.
We are seeking someone passionate and experienced in building and managing high‑performing teams, who relishes the challenge of leading one of our key development streams.
In this role you will provide day‑to‑day delivery‑focused leadership, supplier management, coordination to achieve project goals, input into product strategy, and development of your team.
Responsibilities
- Delivery oversight and accountability for digital products.
- Deliver projects, products, and services using appropriate management methodologies, while providing constant visibility of work in progress, planned work, and other key metrics.
- Collaborate effectively with the Product Manager, Product Owner, Architects, and other key stakeholders to shape the roadmap and ensure delivery of project goals.
- Manage the solution development budget, ensuring consistent delivery and excellent returns on investment.
- Lead work‑planning activities using collaborative and dynamic processes, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.
- Use appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that all aspects of solution development are carried out in accordance with the agreed standards, methods, and procedures.
- Coach and maintain a high‑performing, cross‑functional team comprising solution SMEs, test analysts, business analysts, infrastructure engineers, and other technical specialists.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for the team, resolving impediments and working to continuously improve delivery and drive consistent, predictable, high‑quality deliverables.
- Lead supplier engagement for the delivery team, managing and building highly productive supplier relationships.
- Participate actively in the Delivery Manager community, sharing skills, knowledge, and best practices.
- Stay current with the fast‑changing technology market and ensure alignment with current best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience leading and adapting agile project delivery teams to rapidly changing business priorities.
- Strong track record of enabling delivery through timely, high‑quality team activities and continuous improvement.
- Focus on automation, with a ruthless drive to eliminate manual tasks wherever possible.
- Proven ability to build a capable, engaged workforce through mentoring and development.
- Business‑centric mindset, understanding cost, quality, and value of solutions.
- Experience managing near‑shore or offshore teams is an advantage.
