Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is based in Goodwood (near Chichester). The Role involves working with the ultimate ‘piano finish’ paint specification as standard. The colour of a vehicle has a powerful impact, and the greatest demands are made of the exterior surface centre to ensure that the highest standards are met. Sustainability and our impact on the environment are important considerations.

You will complete training in college, as well as on site, learning from our team of experts on the following topics:

  • Machine maintenance
  • Mechanical and electrical robotic systems
  • Online & offline robot programming
  • Control planning
  • Paint & material science
  • Fault finding and repair

The apprenticeship features a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience of all aspects of car design and creation. You will spend 2 days per week (in the first term) completing a ‘craft skills’ course which includes woodwork, sewing, mechanics, metal work and CAD. During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Electrical Vehicle Awareness

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and can flex to the demands of the business. The following skills and interests will be very valuable:

  • Programming
  • An interest or joy of STEM subjects
  • Building, creating or fixing things

  • Analysis/problem solving
  • Cars or mechanics

Required Qualifications: English and Maths GCSE at grade 4 is required.
