As an apprentice, you will gain practical insights into the corporate operations of a world‑class automotive manufacturer while developing yourself and your career. Technical Training within our Test and Finish department is the ideal starting point for anyone wanting to become a multi‑skilled technician, with training that will take you through the many areas of vehicle manufacturing. To make the most of being a vehicle damage apprentice, you’ll need to be someone with plenty of questions about how things work and have the confidence to seek out the answers.
What will you be doing? As a Rolls‑Royce vehicle damage Apprentice, you will be attending college on a part‑time basis and you will also follow a placement plan spending time within various areas of Assembly. The three‑year programme is designed to enable you to experience different aspects of engineering and production technology. Our vehicle technicians have the following responsibilities:
- Rectification of mechanical, electrical, and trim components using the defined processes whilst ensuring customer expectations are achieved.
- Determine root cause of problems and feedback causing factors to Process Supporter.
- Identify causes of component failure and determine process owner.
- Identify potential improvements to process.
- Use of efficient working practices to maintain on time delivery.
- Regular monitoring of tooling and facilities ensuring product quality is achieved.
- Support the documentation and resolution of problems.
With hard work and commitment, you will develop specialist technical knowledge supported by the relevant qualifications in Manufacturing and Engineering. Qualifications and Experience
- GCSE Maths & English at a 4 or C Grade
