A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for contract positions within our Engineering Overhaul Services business in Derby. We are looking for Sprayers and Maskers to mask and paint spray a variety of aerospace components, including nose cones, fairings, shrouds, and various cases, as well as the bonding and repairing of fan tracks and acoustic panels.
The Sprayers and Maskers positions are available on a 12-month contract, working on a 2 shift pattern of earlies and lates. The roles will involve using various paint preparation techniques including abrasive blasting and chemical cleaning, while following aerospace manufacturing procedures and technical engineering instructions/drawings.
Who we're looking for:
- Experience of masking and paint spraying by hand of aerospace or automotive components would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of paint preparation techniques including abrasive blasting and chemical cleaning would be beneficial.
- Able to interpret technical engineering instructions and drawings with a working knowledge of aerospace manufacturing procedures.
- High attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity to mask components to a high standard.
- Able to work as part of a team and have a drive to succeed in delivering to tight timescales.
- Customer, Quality, and Delivery focused.
- Basic computer literacy and a driving licence.
