On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet\’s vital power needs we are looking for a number ofSkilled Inspectorsfor a12-month contractworking on a 3 shift pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights) based inAnsty, Coventry.
In this role, you will beworking as part of a high performing team and will be responsible the inspection of large fan cases and OGVs. As the facility is targeting minimum standards in lean techniques, the role will include integration and delivery of production system tasks which includes lean Manufacturing, Asset Care, Visual Management, OEE and Waste Reduction.
What you will do as a Skilled Inspector:
In this role, you will beworking as part of a high performing team and will be responsible the inspection of large fan cases and OGVs. As the facility is targeting minimum standards in lean techniques, the role will include integration and delivery of production system tasks which includes lean Manufacturing, Asset Care, Visual Management, OEE and Waste Reduction.
Within this, it will be beneficial if you have experience with:
- Visual inspection and various stages of manufacturing and final inspection for release of components.
- CMM inspection and sentencing.
- Borescope inspection.
- Drawing and specification interpretation.
- Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
- Completing inspection documentation and non-conformance reports.
What we require from a Skilled Inspector:
- Time served apprenticeship or relevant qualification i.e. NVQ level 3 in an engineering or manufacturing discipline.**
- An understanding of CMM function and software.
- Basic IT literacy.
- Understanding HS&E Standards and regulations.
- Previous experience in the inspection of aerospace components.
- Knowledge of asset care.
- Interpretation of Technical Instructions and drawings.
**Please note: the above mentioned qualifications are essential due to trade union requirements. Please attach these along with your CV if possible.
