We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Derby on behalf of Rolls-Royce. The successful candidate will join the Assembly and Test facility and will be responsible for method development and production support through the facility.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Strong focus on continuous improvement within the production line.
- Integrating with the Operations teams to provide a level of production support to ensure the business delivers on its commitments.
- Integrating with the Process Engineers to ensure part-specific issues are understood and dealt with at production cell level.
- Ensuring the manufacturing methods are compliant with all relevant HSE, Export, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
What we require from the candidate:
- Degree level in a Manufacturing, Mechanical or Materials discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient IT skills (Minitab, Microsoft Office, Project).
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and the drive to deliver within a challenging, high-volume production environment.
- Practical experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a production facility, including delivery of improvement projects is desirable.
- Understanding of Six Sigma tools and techniques is desirable.
- Experience of directionally solidified and single crystal casting is desirable.
