Our Contingent Workforce Solution (CWS) is one way we support Rolls-Royce. Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed. On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs, we are looking for a number of Systems Engineers across both Derby and Bristol. Due to a significant increase in demand across our business, we're expanding our team with multiple opportunities available. These roles have been created to support a number of exciting change and transformation initiatives, while also aligning our resources to meet current and future business needs.
Purpose of the role:
- Extract, define, and manage technical requirements with key stakeholders.
- Lead the sub-system design and integration process using Systems Engineering principles.
- Develop and manage sub-system requirements and flow them down to Component Design and Functional Engineering teams.
- Generate and assess sub-system concepts to meet product performance, safety, and lifecycle requirements.
- Manage physical and functional interfaces between systems and sub-systems.
- Support verification and validation planning throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, process enhancement, and knowledge capture.
As a Systems Engineer you will:
- Have a strong Systems Engineering background within a complex engineering environment.
- Have experience managing technical requirements, verification, and validation activities.
- Have an understanding of APQP, FMEA, and Risk Management techniques.
- Have the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Possess strong problem-solving and systems-thinking capability.
